A client from Milton Keynes contacted the Build My Kitchen team in need of a new kitchen that combined a traditional style with a hint of modern design. The client had recently had their beautiful cottage extended to create a stunning open plan sociable area, of which they wanted to incorporate a new kitchen using the latest products to create a traditional style design. After spending time researching products, the client came to the showroom in a quest to find their dream vintage-inspired products.

Due to the client briefing, the team decided that the 1909 hand-painted in-frame cabinetry was the perfect collection to use to create a traditional look while keeping the kitchen light and welcoming. These cabinets are simply stunning, with their delicate curves and detailed handles, giving the kitchen a touch of character. The client decided to go for a light pastel grey Partridge unit with a white marble and oak worktop, which beautifully complements the light units. By pairing the 1909 features with the Partridge range, the client was able to create a traditional style while incorporating hints of modern features, giving it a sophisticated yet chic appearance.
The contrasting statement island in slate grey features beautiful end pilasters and creates a great family dining area. As you can see in the after photo, the island stands out against the rest of the kitchen, making it a charming statement piece. The client has since paired this island with some classy and modern black stalls. The kitchen design has completely transformed the space that was provided, bringing light and vibrancy to the kitchen area.
